Steam Cleaning Process

Our Healthy HomeCare Truckmount Steam Cleaning Process does a fantastic job of cleaning residential carpets! Our primary cleaning agents are environmentally friendly, safe for you & your family, safe for pets, and still tough on dirt.

Here is what you can expect with our "standard" level of service:

Arrival usually within 30 minutes of our appointed time. We also can arrange a phone ahead when we are on our way.

An IICRC Certified Carpet Cleaning Technician will be in your home!

Pre-inspection & assessment of carpet type, conditions and expected results.

We'll provide an exact written cost and get your approval before we proceed.

Pre-spotting where necessary.

Pre-conditioning of the carpet fibre – this step helps more soils to break free of their grip on carpet fibers, similar to a "soak cycle" when washing dishes or laundry.

Flush carpet with RX-20 - this tool works in a circular motion flushing soils from the carpet fibre 20-100 times over. The RX-20 provides a far superior cleaning in traffic lanes and highly soiled conditions. It lifts, refreshes, and restores matted & crushed fibres. (However, some select carpet construction & design may not allow for this tool to be used.)

Detailing of all carpeted edges with standard carpet cleaning wand. In order to ensure we get to areas that the RX-20 is not designed for, we use a more agile tool to detail the edges to ensure we 'do not cut the corners’!

Post-spotting - as needed, if needed.

Repositioning of large furniture and protect legs with clear invisible tabs. Metal legs/frames can leave rust, and wooden legs/frames that have wood stain can leave color marks, if exposed to damp carpet for a given length of time. We place protective barriers between legs/frames and damp carpet to ensure your furniture will not do damage to your carpet.

Groom Carpet or set pile. This helps carpet stand up straight after cleaning which facilitates faster drying times.

Speed dry – we often use turbo dryer(s) and will frequently leave them behind to encourage faster drying for your convenience! Dry times can be as little as 1 hour & sometimes up to 4 hours depending on many conditions including: how soiled the carpets were (more dirt = more moisture to remove), exterior humidity conditions, ability to reduce indoor humidity (opening windows, etc), volume of air space vs. volume of humidity indoors (more carpet cleaning done = more humidity to remove for complete drying) and whether fabric protection was applied.

Client Post Inspection & Approval – If you’re not happy, neither are we! Your satisfaction is extremely important to us. Our business rely's on each & every client being so delighted with our service that they refer Crystal Clean to family & friends!

You receive our Clean Guarantee– “If it’s not clean – do not pay! It’s that simple!” Keeping in mind that there are things that happen to carpet that are simply not removable by cleaning. We will review any situation with you that appears to be non-removable during our pre-inspection & assessment. Please read the back of our invoices for conditions of our clean guarantee.

Additional Services Available for your consideration:

Pre-vacuuming - this is an essential component of carpet cleaning. Most of our clients prefer to do this themselves, however, if you would like us to - We'd love to do that for you as well!

Showcase Dry Finish in traffic areas – this removes the final ‘film’ of soils on the fiber (helps traffic lanes look brighter) that steam alone cannot remove. This also helps facilitate a faster drying time. Works great on berber carpets bringing out it's natural beauty that other cleaning systems may fail to do. Often we combine this system with our truckmount steam to produce the best possible cleaning results.

Carpet Protector in walk ways & high traffic lanes. The greatest benefit of protector is that your vacuuming will be more successful (about 35% more dirt will end up in your vacuum because the soils in the carpet are not ‘grabbing’ & ‘sticking’ to the carpet fibre – similar to your Teflon-coated frying pan!) However, just like your frying pans get scratches over time, so do your carpet fibres. Dull traffic lanes are caused from sands & grits that over time scratch fibres, firstly into the protector, and eventually into the fibre itself - which causes traffic lanes. Read our newsletter on (“Traffic Areas…Are they Dirty or Worn?) for more information on how to prevent this premature wear. Regular application of carpet protector in traffic lanes will significantly prolong the life of your carpet!

Lastly, take a moment to check your favorite chair or other furniture and we can touch them up while we are in your home cleaning your carpets - convenient & easy!
